Here’s what you need to know:
 
We need you to be the face of our campus in Camden!
 
We’re looking for a receptionist for one of our campuses in Camden, NJ. As receptionist, you are the first face that parents, students, and community members see when they walk into a building, so you’ll need to create a warm and inviting atmosphere in our main office. The start date for this position is July 9th, 2018.
A bit more about you… You’re cool under pressure. You’re fluent in both Spanish and English. You love helping people out and can juggle a lot of responsibilities at once. In short, you’re a joyful person who’s organized.

Here’s what you’ll be doing:
  • Administrative responsibilities including answering door buzzers and phone calls, directing callers to the appropriate person or school, and relaying messages to the appropriate individuals/entities
  • Greets visitors, determining their need and providing accurate information or connecting them with the appropriate stakeholder 
  • Handles family concerns and questions in a prompt and appropriate manner
  • Acts as a strong, positive day-to-day interface between KIPP and the school community, representing our values, mission, and philosophy at all times
  • Assists with student related issues in the absence or support of the School Operations Manager
  • Supports school-wide communication efforts including maintaining front office fliers and sending all calls to families regarding school closings and events
  • Maintains accuracy of information systems including contact information, attendance, early and late pickup, and own dismissal changes and communication of this information to stakeholders
  • Receives mail and deliveries and ensures items are appropriately distributed
  • Supports the operations team with school-wide projects and responsibilities
  • Maintains a clean, organized and well-functioning office environment

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish
