ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Clerk is responsible for a variety of administrative duties that support the operation and presentation of a professional office at KIPP Houston Public Schools.  Specific job responsibilities and duties will vary by department.

 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

 

The Clerk will:

 

1.       Provide Administrative Support to supervisor

a.       Assist with clerical tasks including typing, filing, photocopying, and proofreading

b.      Assist supervisor with the preparation of materials for large mailings, along with assembling packages

c.       Assist with building and maintaining files

2.       Assist with data entry and reports

3.       Maintain a thorough working knowledge of KIPP Houston and respond to inquiries from the public

4.       Keep immediate supervisor well-informed of activities, results of efforts, and potential problems

5.       Maintain confidentiality of sensitive student, parent, faculty, and organizational information

6.       Conduct oneself appropriately, courteously, and professionally

7.       As needed, assist with duties and tasks outside of regular job responsibilities

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education and Knowledge:

·         High school diploma or GED is required; plus 1 year of related work experience, preferred
